As I commenced the grueling research on Easter cocktails, one thing became immediately apparent.
Easter cocktails are pastel-colored.
Pink, blue, minty green. Like a bunch of Easter eggs gone bad.
Anyhoo, I decided that the Blue Cottontail is sort of the quintessential Easter cocktail. Here's the recipe just in case you're in the mood for something fun to go along with the ham, devilled eggs, and gefilte fish. (I know. I'm mixing my holidays. But since we have a multi-cultural, multi-religious family, I'm making an eclectic menu for today).
Blue Cottontail
1 and 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/4 oz blue Curacao
Orange peel for garnish
Shake, shake, shake! Serve in a festive martini glass and add garnish. Happy Easter!

And if you're really in the mood for a party, check out this fun project....Peep-Stuffed Jello Shots. (These contain yogurt, gelatin and candy cotton vodka....haaaaa!)
Happy Sloshy Sunday, Peeps!
